How quoting works

We keep the process short and honest, so you can make a decision in your own time.

1. Tell us about the project

Get in touch by phone, email or the quote form. Describe the room, the type of roof and what you are hoping to achieve. A new rooflight in a kitchen extension is a different job to a replacement on a flat roof, so the more we know, the better.

2. We assess the roof

For most jobs we will arrange a visit to see the roof build-up, check access and take proper measurements. This is what lets us give a firm price rather than a vague estimate. For straightforward replacements, photos and measurements may be enough.

3. You receive a fixed written quote

We send a clear, itemised written price covering the product, the installation and the finish. It is fixed, so the number you accept is the number you pay, barring genuine changes you ask for along the way.

What information helps

You do not need to have everything ready, but the following speeds things up and improves accuracy:

• The room and its use — kitchen, loft, landing, bathroom, office unit and so on.
• Roof type — pitched, flat or low-pitch, if you know it.
• New install or replacement — and, for a replacement, the make of the existing unit if you have it.
• Rough size or how many — an approximate opening size or the number of rooflights.
• Photos — of the room inside and the roof outside, if you can take them safely.
• Any preferences — a particular brand, an opening or fixed unit, blinds, or a feature like a roof lantern.
